Coney Island Project

For the entire month of July, our Cascading Leadership girls have been heading down to Coney Island every Friday, interviewing both workers of the amusement park and pedestrians in want of their opinions on the new developments starting this year in Astroland. Unfortunately, many of the workers at Coney signed a confidentiality agreement that forbade them in speaking about the developments.

However, we were able to come across Manny Cohen, an arcade owner at Coney Island who had not signed the lease and who had also created a tombstone with the confidentiality agreement attached in protest against the developments. Listen to his story, and then afterwards, take a trip down to Coney and see for yourself what he’s talking about!
