Digital Diary Project by Jennifer Valette
My project is on the influential women in my life. So I decided to do it on my mothers, Bonnie and Nancy, my grandmother, and although she's not human, my best friend Mystic (my doggie). I found it easy taking pictures of them in their enviorment because it was a way of making a creative tribute to them.

This mural is the name of the community where the Lower Eastside Girls Club is located. Loisaida means lower eastside in Spanish which is where most of the girls that come to the Girls Club live.

Hello everyone on the blog... I know it has taken me a long time to actually put something on the blog... but college is very time consuming. I still have not had time to scan the pics showing my campus.... I kinda took a different approach to show my campus but I hope everyone likes it. I put this pic up though because it is something that i created on my computer and I find it to be a type of "digital photography"..... so hopefully i get the chance to show what I see everyday... Hope everyone is well...ADIOS!!!!! by Jasmine

11:45 am and it's still snowing! This image is of 2 photographs joined together. One is the positive image and the other is the negative. In Adobe Photoshop, you can make negative images by going under IMAGES and down to ADJUST and then to INVERT. Try it! Snow has a positive effect because it is beautiful, and a negative effect because it is dangerous to walk and drive a car on.

In these pictures, I am 6 years old. I lived with my grandmother and grandfather in Export, Pennsylvania. On their land, they had a vegetable garden, chickens, and pigs. My grandfather was a coal miner and drank too much alcohol. My job was to feed the chickens and collect the warm eggs. I did not like the smell of the chicken coup. I am feeding the chickens in this picture. In the other one, I am on the front porch of my grandparents house holding my favorite stuffed bunny. My Uncle Bill took these pictures with his camera.
I enjoy looking at old photographs of myself and family. Do you have old photographs? How old? Who took them?

I found this sign on the New York City streets. The inspiring message was written by the artist, Dela Vega. He leaves his sayings all around the town.
I asked to be photographed with the sign so I could inspire others, too.
Also, I would like to meet him one day and show him the photograph.
