La Chamula Marta vende sus artesanias afuera de la tienda de Na Bolom. Dice que lleva 30 anos elaborando artesanias, sembrando milpa en el campo y cargando lena.

The Chamula Marta sells crafts outside the gift shop of Na Bolom. She says she's been doing it for 30 years when she can as she also grows corn and carries wood back home.

Manuel Diaz Lopez, 16, sells crafts, books and other things in the Na Bolom gift shop. He's only been working there for two months but says it is fun work. He's single. In the photo taken by Yolanda is Meche!

Fanny says she likes the work very much because she is surrounded by foreigners, Mexicans and indigenous Maya and she is giving her grain of sand to preserve the culture of Chiapas. Lorenzo es muy trabajador y además le gusta cocinar. Acá camina por los pasillos de la Casa Na Bolom, la casa del jaguar. Lorenzo trabaja duro para ganar unos 150 dolares entre propinas y salario cada quince dias.

Lorenzo is a good worker and besides, he also is caught sometimes in the kitchen cooking, which he loves. Here is walks through the archways of Na Bolom house, the House of the Jaguar. Lorenzo works really hard to make some 150 dollars between salary and tips every 2 weeks.

Esto es nuestro mesero. Se llama Lorenzo Gomez Gomez y es originalmente de Bochil, Chiapas, pueblo Tzotzil Maya, aunque lleva 15 años viviendo en San Cristóbal de las Casas.

This is our waiter. His name is Lorenzo Gomez Gomez and he is originally from Bochil, a Tzotzil Maya town, but he´s been living in San Cristobal de las Casas for the last 15 years.
