Farmworkers protest outside of a Taco Bell in Ft. Myers florida. The boycott against Taco Bell is designed to put pressure on the company to pay more for tomatos which will in turn enable the farmers to pay the tomato pickers a living wage.

farmworker housing

Immokalee, Florida is home to over 30,000 migrant farmworkers in the harvest season. Most workers rent rooms in dilapidated houses and trailers. The workers pay $50 a week to share small rooms with up to 10 other men.
