Hi Jason and Cassie
I hoep this week is better for you at Eric's office now that you will be working with John. Please post a summary of what you are up to.

both of you should:

1. Write a brief summary of the the "group's mission" in your own words. what is it trying to accomplish?
2. what are some serious problems according to this organization (if there are any?)
3. What are they doing to addresss the problems?
4. How can you relate their work to the Girls Club building project?

for the moment i dont have any update questions for you all, you are lucky. enjoy your break.
we will start work next week. Jason and Cassie (april 30) at the Builders and Assi (May 1).

1) The Environmental Service system of San Jose recycles garbage,purifies drinking water, conditions waste water treatment systems, as well as many other environmentally sound projects.

2) On April 12 - Wacky Watersheds will offer hands-on learning experiences with ideas on water use, wastewater treatment, pollution prevention, and watershed protection.

1) Marc Rosenbaumis a designer, engineer, and builder of environmentally sound buildings. Marc helps people create buildings which support personal and planetary healing.

2) Marc's home won first place awards in design competitions from the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) and the Energy Efficient Building Association (EEBA). His home has passive solar and wood-fired space heat and domestic hot water, solar greenhouse, root cellar, low-energy-use lighting, heat recovery ventilation, raised bed organic garden, and low-water-use fixtures.

cassie info on san jose

san-jose information:
1) The ESD(environmental service department) In 1980, the city was award the winning recycling, water conservation, and wastewater treatment programs.

2) In 1993, the Environmental Services Department was formed to integrate these programs and other environmental protection services.
